Refunds & Returns Policy

Refunds & Returns Policy

At Lincolnshire Vapours, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If there is a problem with your order or you need to return an item, please contact us before sending anything back.

This policy explains our returns process and should be read alongside your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

Changed Your Mind About an Online Order

If you purchase Goods from us online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Where this right applies, you normally have 14 days from the day after receiving your order to tell us that you wish to cancel.

Once you have told us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the Goods to us.

The Goods should be returned in an unused condition and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the Goods while they are in your possession.

You may be responsible for any reduction in the value of Goods caused by handling them beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

Products That Cannot Be Returned After Opening

Certain products may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where permitted by law.

This can include sealed Goods which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene once they have been unsealed.

For this reason, please contact us before opening products if you are unsure whether they can be returned.

Refunds

Where you have a statutory right to cancel an online order, we will process any refund in accordance with applicable law.

Where required, this will include the cost of standard delivery originally paid for the order. Additional delivery costs chosen by you, such as an upgraded delivery service, may not be refundable.

We may withhold a refund until we have received the returned Goods or you provide evidence that the Goods have been returned, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made using the original payment method.

Missing, Short-Supplied or Incorrect Items

Please check your order as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If your order is missing an item, contains fewer items than you ordered, or you have received an incorrect product, please contact us as soon as possible.

We ask that missing, short-supplied or incorrect items are reported within 30 days of delivery wherever possible.

When contacting us, please provide:

  • Your order number.

  • Details of the missing, incorrect or short-supplied item.

  • The quantity ordered and the quantity received.

  • Photographs where appropriate.

We may check our order records, packing records, stock records and delivery information when investigating a reported discrepancy.

Claims Reported After 30 Days

If a shortage or other order discrepancy is reported more than 30 days after delivery, we may be unable to reasonably verify what was included in the original parcel.

In these circumstances, Lincolnshire Vapours reserves the right to decline the claim where there is insufficient evidence to establish that the discrepancy existed at the time of delivery.

The 30-day notification period is intended to give us a reasonable opportunity to investigate an order while relevant packing, stock and delivery records are available.

This does not remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.

Damaged Items

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery and provide photographs of the item and packaging where possible.

We may ask for photographs or other information to help us determine what happened and the appropriate resolution.

Please do not dispose of damaged Goods or packaging until we have advised you to do so, as we may need to inspect them or obtain further information.

Faulty Products

If a product develops a fault, please contact us with your order number and details of the problem.

Depending on the circumstances and your statutory rights, the appropriate remedy may include:

  • A repair.

  • A replacement.

  • A price reduction.

  • A refund.

Your legal rights depend on the circumstances of the fault, when the product was purchased and the nature of the problem.

Faults caused by accidental damage, misuse, unauthorised modification, normal wear and tear or failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may not be covered.

Where a manufacturer warranty applies, this does not replace your statutory rights against Lincolnshire Vapours.

28-Day Manufacturer Warranty

Many electronic products, including vape devices and other electronic Goods, are covered by a manufacturer's warranty or guarantee. For products where a 28-day manufacturer warranty applies, faults should be reported to us as soon as possible after they are discovered and, wherever possible, within 28 days of purchase.

We may require the product to be returned for inspection or testing before a warranty claim can be considered.

Where a manufacturer's warranty applies, the outcome of a warranty claim may include a replacement, repair or other remedy depending on the manufacturer's warranty terms and the nature of the fault.

The manufacturer's warranty does not replace or limit your statutory rights against Lincolnshire Vapours under applicable UK consumer law. Where a fault falls outside a manufacturer's warranty period, your statutory consumer rights may still apply depending on the circumstances.

E-Liquids, Coils, Pods and Tanks

For health, hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot normally accept opened or used e-liquids, coils, pods or tanks for return where they are no longer suitable for resale once opened or used.

This is because opened or used products of this type cannot normally be returned to stock and resold to another customer for hygiene and safety reasons.

This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, defective, not as described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer law.

Where a statutory cancellation right does not apply because a product has been unsealed for health protection or hygiene reasons, we may refuse the return in accordance with applicable law.

Clearance and Sale Items

Sale, clearance and heavily discounted Goods are sold at a reduced price and may be discontinued, end-of-line, clearance or otherwise offered at a significantly reduced price.

Unless otherwise stated, sale, clearance and heavily discounted Goods are not eligible for return or exchange simply because you have changed your mind or no longer want the item.

This does not affect your statutory rights. If a sale or clearance item is faulty, defective, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable UK consumer law, you may still have legal rights to an appropriate remedy.

Where a product is reduced because of a specific defect or issue that has been clearly described to you before purchase, you cannot normally rely on that same disclosed issue as a reason for a refund or other remedy.

If you are unsure whether an item can be returned, please contact us before purchasing.

Returning an Item

Please contact us before sending a return so that we can provide the appropriate returns instructions.

Returns should be sent to:

Lincolnshire Vapours LTD
The Vape Store Boston
Waterfall Plaza
Bank Street
Boston
Lincolnshire
PE21 6DY

Please include your order number and a brief description of the reason for the return.

We recommend using a tracked delivery service and keeping your proof of postage until the return has been processed.

Return Postage

If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind under a statutory cancellation right, you are normally responsible for the cost of returning the item unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law requires us to cover the cost.

If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to your statutory rights, we will deal with return postage in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

Processing Returns

Once we receive a returned item, we will inspect it where necessary and contact you regarding the outcome.

We aim to process returns as quickly as possible, normally within 5 working days of receiving the returned item, although more complicated cases may take longer where further investigation is required.

Where a replacement or exchange is agreed, we will contact you regarding the replacement product and delivery arrangements.

Where a return is not accepted because it does not meet the applicable return conditions, we will contact you and explain the reason.

Proof of Purchase

We require sufficient information to identify your purchase, such as your order number, receipt or other reasonable proof of purchase.

If you purchased the item online from Lincolnshire Vapours, your order details may be sufficient for us to locate the purchase.

Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns Policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Where Goods are faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of applicable UK consumer law, you may have legal rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund depending on the circumstances.

If you have a problem with an order, please contact us and we will assess the matter based on the circumstances and your applicable rights.
